Who I Am
I am a proud Aboriginal man, 1 of 15 children, connected to many families but immediate to the Conlon, Bond, O’Chin and Loda bloodline through my Father and Mother. I am married to Denise, a Wiradjuri woman from the Peak Hill area and have 1 Daughter, Son-in-law and 4 Grandchildren. We have also raised many nephews and nieces along the way.
My bloodline tribes extend across many including Kullilli, Koa, Wakka Wakka, Kabi Kabi, Kangalou, Gamilaroi, Gungalidda.
I have been an artist for around 32 years. My family has a long line of artists and culture. My Grandparents, Parents, Uncles, Aunts and older Siblings shared their knowledge and skills to my generation. Living out on Kangalou country as a young adolescent taught me much about hunting, enjoying country, spending time with elders listening, watching, and learning through the practical experience of the old people. I further developed an interest as a tour guide for many years in and around the Darumbal country. Facilitating workshops, dancing, and demonstrating culture to locals and tourists from around the world, which helped me to develop further skills in engaging with people.
Currently, I facilitate Art workshops, Didge making workshops, tailor made Cultural activities, Murals and more. Over the years I have traveled nationally, with the main part of my work being along the Eastern Coast of Australia.
Using these skills, I am able reach a wide variety of audiences, contextualizing the programs as needed. I have passion for what I do and have a quality team that can and will do the same.
